"When you find yourself torn between fear and intuition, the right way forward is always guided by your intuition. The fear isn't an indicator to stop, it's simply an indicator that you care...and that is exceptionally powerful." -You Know It's Love

Cat's stubborn to the core and she's had it. Not only is her vintage clothing shop struggling, she finds herself in a revolving door of Tinder dates, never making a connection or revealing her true self. She's jaded, guarded, and the emotions from her divorce are still raw. So when Myles, the new bartender at her brother's bar, hits on her when she's on a date with someone else, she writes him off. He's just too much. Too charming, too smooth, too flirty, and too much like her ex-husband, Mark.
When said ex-husband raises the rent on her shop, Cat must figure out a way to either pay up or move her business elsewhere. Too bad she's in debt and running out of options. Cue Myles to the rescue! Armed with an offer to build Cat a new website, and a lot of innovative ideas to take her business to the next level, Myles turns out to be much more than what Cat ever expected. And when the two start working in close proximity, neither can resist the sparks that start flying. Will Cat listen to her head that keeps her grounded or the heart she's lost her trust in?
Goodness, I could gush over this book all day long. It is just that good. I enjoyed Love in the City, but I LOVED You Know It's Love. It has the right amount of laughs, steam, and self-journey that will keep you turning page after page until the very end.
Both Cat and Myles are well-developed and deep characters. They have many layers and I was continually surprised by their revelations. As you read, you are swept up in their personal struggles, but also quickly become highly invested in their relationship. Morris has a way of putting her characters in a cloud of intrigue, then slowly peeling back the layers to show their true colors. I just wanted to know what they’re both hiding, but Morris makes you work for it, and boy am I glad I did.
Myles is the quintessential book boyfriend! He's not afraid to go toe to toe with Cat, challenging her at every turn. He always wants to talk it out ("okay Freud") and refuses to give up on Cat, no matter how many times she runs. And beneath his rough, tatted appearance is a tender, caring man that is all about consent. What could be sexier than that?!?!
Some other highlights for me that had me laughing out loud:
❤️ Meditation
❤️ Stapler guns
❤️ Experimental jazz
